Every so often, your teacher will decide it's time to do a project. Yes, I'm fine with projects, apart from the fact that if we don't do something different each time, we get lower marks! So I've decided to write a list of interesting ideas to present a project, from the most obvious to weirdest of them all.
Create an old fashioned poster. Quite often these days, with all the technology, not many people use posters any more. But I personally like posters better, especially if they have little 'kiddy' things on them, like lift-the-flaps and 3D bits.
Make a PowerPoint. I know this sounds too boring, but there are some really good ways of making power points interesting. You could use the animations and all that built in stuff, or make buttons on photo's, so when you click on them it tells you about that part. For example, if I did it on the human body, I could have a button on parts of the body, and if someone were to click on the button that was on the arm, it would take them to a new presentation slide telling them about the arm.
Use Comic Life to create a comic. I know that sounds a bit weird, but it's good fun, and no one else would think of doing that, unless it's a program that's at your school. Comic Life is a program that allows you to put in text and pictures to create a comic-like poster, or a comic (hence the name).
Write a book about your chosen item. Have a title page, a contents page, all the info, a sources page at the back and a blurb. Staple it together and you have your very own book, or use a binder to bind it.
Make a movie. This one is nearly always the funnest, especially when you get friends involved. A quick tip, though, don't make it a boring movie where people just get up and talk, make it interesting. For example, if you were doing your presentation on a bear, get someone to dress up in a bear suit and have a couple of friends going out 'camping' who then get attacked by a bear and learn a lot of stuff. Make it humorous, then people will want to watch it again.
Create your very own website! Using a blogging site, or a mac program called iWeb, you could make your own site all about your chosen subject. Very simple yet different.
Act out a play. You best ask your teacher first, but get together with a couple of friends and rehearse a play.
Make a puppet show. This one can be a little tricky, but is awesome if it works. Buy some cheap puppets, or make your own. Then either record it or give a live performance.
Give a speech. Most people think is the most boring thing to do, especially if your the one who has to listen to it. I agree, but only because people don't know how to do a speech anymore. Bring in a couple of items relating to your subject, add some humour and speak with an attitude, not in a monotone! Use exclamation marks! Use ... (whatever their called)! Use questions marks! These punctuations aren't here for nothing! Use them!
Draw a flip note. This would probably be the longest and hardest of all, but the most effective to add to a presentation, especially a speech. But I've tried them and gave up before long because it was just too tedious.
Make a quiz after your presentation, to test if your audience were really listening. You can choose whether or not to tell them about the quiz before hand, it's your presentation after all.
Make a Prezi. Prezi is an online program (search it with google) that uses zoom like never before. And what's better, it's free to sign up!
Scratch is game maker which, once you learn how to use it, can be very effective. Imagine making an educational game for your class. That would surely have to get you some A's in presentation!
Use garage band or a similar program to make a voice recording. Invite a couple of friends to join in, and make it a radio station news update etc.
I'm sure there are many more ideas out there, so don't heavily rely on this post to help you. Combine these together and you'll find totally new ideas. Take Prezi for example. You can upload YouTube videos to a Prezi. So make a short movie, publish it to YouTube and then into your Prezi! Simple as that!
